Final Weekend for the BPS Spring Classic

The End is near!  The final weekend of the Bass Pro Shop Spring Fishing Classic will feature local outdoor related groups and organizations.  And a trout pond for the kids!      Lots of kids activities will be available this weekend and more Doorbuster specials, too.  Many, many, many local organizations will have tables set up around the store to promote themselves and what they do, including the Rocky Mountain Team Series and the Denver Bassmasters.  The Fountain Valley Jr. Bass Club will also host the trout pond!  Part of the focus is the Next Generation theme to promote fishing and outdoor activity for kids.

At the Rocky Mountain Team Series booth we will be available to answer questions, have member sign-up forms, and will have information on our prizes and sponsors for the 2012 Tournament Trail, including TroKar Hooks, Wright & McGill, Lazer Tungsten, Legend Boats, Bass Pro Sites, Berkley Baits, Calibre Boat Repair, JF Davis Construction, SeaGuar Line, and Star Tron Fuel Treatment, and maybe, just maybe, we will be ready to announce a certain Outdoor Store as a new sponsor!  We’ll know more by the time the weekend gets going!

Also, to help all the Bass Clubs, the RMTS booth will have information available about the many bass clubs in Colorado who will not be able to attend, including B.A.S.S. and T.B.F. affiliates around Colorado.  The Denver Bassmasters, which holds their monthly meetings at the Denver Bass Pro Store, will also have a booth at the event.  The Centennial Bass Club will be bagging at check-out as a club fundraiser, so help them out on the way home with your new booty!

Daily Doorbusters will fill the store with deal-searchers on Friday and Saturday.  On Friday, March 9, the deals include: a BPS Enticer spinning rod & reel combo for $39.97 (reg. $79.99), a boat seat for $22 (compared to $49.99,) and a White River Intruder fly reel for only $19.97 (compared to $50.)

On the penultimate 2012 Spring Fishing Classic event day, Saturday, March 10, the Doorbuster Daily Specials are: XPS Lazer Eye Micro Spin lures only .97 cents (Reg. $2.69!) A Berkley 110 Electric Fillet Knife for only $19.97 (Reg. $34.99,) and a BPS Enigma Baitcast Reel for $49.97 (Reg. $99.99.)  Great deals for all types and models of fishermen and women.

The amazingly popular Flicker Shad sale continues and add to that a Berkley/Bass Pro Shop exclusive mail-in rebate for $3.00 off when you buy three, making the final cost $2.97 each!  Last weekend they couldn’t refill the pegs fast enough, mainly because Walleye Pro Gary Parsons was there and every time he did a seminar the area around the Flicker Shad’s would get congested for a while!  The special includes Bass Pro Only Exclusive Colors.

The many rebates for Trilene mono and fluorocarbon line, Spiderwire, Powerbait and Havoc soft-plastics, and Pflueger and Abu Garcia Rods and Reels will still be going on.  You can always check the Berkley website for what rebates are available and plan your stocking-up accordingly.  Click the “Promotions” tab to see what the rebates are.  Not listed there but also available are some Bass Pro Only Rebates and those details are available at the store or at Bass Pro online.

Lastly, one more seminar for me: Spinnerbaits in Open Water and in Heavy Cover, at 12 noon on Saturday.  Seminars on many topics will be going all day on Saturday and Sunday, by knowledgeable anglers for many different species.  Pick up a seminar schedule at the front of the store when you come in.
